Being aware of each other’s playing style by joining forces long before the NFL, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are reckoned to be a match made in heaven. While Burrow didn’t exactly have the best outing in Week1 of the 2022-23 NFL Season, it seems like Chase was the least bothered by this slump from his 25-year-old teammate.

So even when sports media personality – Colin Cowherd inquired about the friendship and involvement of Joe Burrow in securing Ja’Marr to the Cincinnati Bengals, the QB revealed how he was always kept in the loop by the team. Moreover, Burrow emphasized on the importance of Chase and how the team frequently looks at him in him pressured situations, especially against the most versatile of opposition players.

Before the Cincinnati Bengals lock horns against the Dak Prescott less Dallas Cowboys in Week 2, Joe Burrow decided to sit alongside Colin Cowherd to make some interesting revelations upon his first-ever Super Bowl experience and how involved he was in Bengals acquiring Ja’Marr etc.

Burrow heaped praised onto Ja’Marr Chase by quoting, “I didn’t go up there and do it. What made me feel great was that they came to me and asked me. As a Quarterback and as someone who has earned the respect – all we want to feel is to be included in decisions. They kept me in the loop. They asked me about my opinions on Ja’Marr and I said he just makes the game look easy.

“There are not a lot of people like him, the way he catches the ball, runs arounds, makes people miss the ball, shrugs defenders off, he’s really just incredible.”

That being said, despite the lackluster outing in Week 1, Joe Burrow managed a tally of 33-of-53 passing for 338 yards and 2 TouchDowns. On the other hand, Ja’Marr Chase – who is reckoned to be Burrow favorite target – had 10 catches for 129 yards and a TouchDown on 16 targets. Will we witness these two stars finally getting a ‘W’ for the Bengals? Remains to be seen.
