Russell Wilson’s stint with Denver Broncos hasn’t gone as per plans. After their latest loss in Week 10, which makes their tally fall to 3-6, Coach Nathaniel Hackett seems to be throwing the kitchen sink in order by making a final move to spark the offensive prowess of their veteran Quarterback for the remaining games.

Hackett has made the decision to hand over play-calling duties to Quarterback coach Klint Kubiak, will shall be implemented from Week 11 itself. To those unaware, Klint has had huge success while calling the plays for Minnesota Vikings in the previous season.

As per Clutchpoints, “Sources say Hackett chose the 35-year-old Kubiak because he has called plays before — the Vikings had one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses with Kubiak as offensive coordinator in 2021 — and will give Wilson a different view from Kubiak’s seat up in the booth.”

Can Russell Wilson still lead the Broncos into the playoffs?

Both coach, Nathaniel Hackett and experienced Quarterback, Russell Wilson have underperformed in their first season together (2022-23) in Denver. As a result of which, it is no surprise that more drastic changes have started to take shape. Getting that much-required ‘desperate’ win under Klint Kubiak’s guidance in Week 11 will go a long way in reviving the Broncos’ playoff aspirations.

The Broncos acquired Russell Wilson with the hopes of changing their fortune not only in their respective division but also in the league, as a whole. However, these errors have only shown how miserable Russell was throughout the first 10 weeks, at least. Does he have it in him to finish a strong note? Remains to be seen.
