NFL fans have had plenty to talk about in the recent weeks with Antonio Brown triggering them with his ‘negative’ antics. However, the spotlight is now stolen by Brett Favre after the biggest scam seems to be out in the open, and evidently there seems to be no valid explanation for it.

It comes to be known that Brett Favre has ‘stolen’ the money meant for the poor and needy to make certain amenities in his daughter’s college much better. In the latest incident which has shaken up the entire NFL World, the former quarterback is now said to owe $828,000 (to be precise) in welfare funds that were meant to go to needy families in Mississippi. This money was accepted by him from non-profit companies to publicly speak at events. Brett never showed up to the said events and accepted the money anyway.

That being said, the founder of two non-profits that sent Favre money is now being indicted on state and federal charges in the state’s largest case of embezzlement.

Brett Favre tried to prove his innocence

“I have been unjustly smeared in the media. I have done nothing wrong, and it is past time to set the record straight.” Favre said in his statement, “No one ever told me, and I did not know, that funds designated for welfare recipients were going to the University or me.

“I tried to help my alma mater, a public Mississippi state university, raise funds for a wellness center. My goal was and always will be to improve the athletic facilities at my university.”

To simply the entire Mississippi scandal in simpler terms – Brett Favre must turn his pockets upside-down and anyhow turn over the ‘stolen’ and misused $828,000 USD that was initially meant for needy families. This just goes onto show the misery being piled up as we speak on former NFL Quarterback. And it just goes on increasing by the minute.
