Even when Justin Herbert couldn’t ensure Chargers’ victory against the Chiefs on Thursday, there is no denying that the marquee gave his all to fight until the last moment against a star-studded side.

Justin Herbert was sacked twice and hit eight times in the particular game, and even led to a to TouchDown drive, completing a key pass to DeAndre Carter for 35 yards before finding Josh Palmer for a 7-yard TD. While the Chiefs vs Charges showdown was piled up with superstars, it was young –Jaylen Watson who stole all limelight by making the winning play when the scores were ties in the fourth quarter.

Having to give is all until the last whistle, Herbert was drilled in his ribs on a hit in the backfield, crashing to the field hard and immediately garbing his ribs. When asked to Head Coach – Brandon Staley, made sure that his marquee QB was ‘OK’ and the team would know more, summarizing the X-Ray reports.

Brandon Staley applauds Quarterback Justin Herbert

“You’re not going to see a quarterback at any level of football play tougher and do more for their team and will their team to give them a chance more than him,” Staley said as reported by NFL.com.

He added, “There’s nobody that can do what he can do, nobody. He showed a lot of guts, he showed us what he shows every day, that we’re never out of the fight, and he brought us back and gave us a chance.”

Given that the Los Angeles Chargers have 10 days at their disposal to lock horns against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Justin Herbert would be hoping to get the adequate request before making his bid of redemption. But it is indeed safe to urge that despite suffering from a heavy blow in the mid-section, Herbert left no stone unturned in winning it for his team in Week 2.
