Tom Brady announces return to NFL with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Just over a month ago, seven-time Super Bowl winner Brady took to social media to announce his retirement. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are also owned by Man United owners, ‘The Glazers’, also thanked Brady for his two-year sojourn with the franchise.

He tweeted:

“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG”

However, on Sunday, the 44-year-old announced that he will be returning to the NFL with the Bucs. Many football fans suggest that Ronaldo’s heroic display at the age of 37 may have prompted Brady to get back to the sport he loves.

On Twitter, one said, ‘Tom Brady really came out of retirement after talking to Ronaldo,’ while another added, “What did Ronaldo say to Brady? Didn’t he say he was finished?” A third wrote, “Ronaldo seems to have this effect on people. Good on Brady for putting ambition and desire to win more.”

Brady will now return for his 23rd season in the NFL and third with the Bucs. He had previously spent 20 years with the New England Patriots, where he won six Super Bowl rings.
