Russell Wilson is all locked-in with the Denver Broncos, after he signed a lucrative deal with them, helping him earn a quarter of a billion dollars in the next seven years. However, before the start of the 2022-23 season, it seems like all analysts – including Colin Cowherd cannot wait to witness the legendary of the 33-year-old veteran again.

To those who are not aware, Russell Wilson won 113 total games as a Seahawk, the most by an NFL quarterback in the first 10 years of his career. This only goes on to become a back-drop on how badly this former champ wants to start on a positive note for his new team since Week 1.

There are surely going to be plenty of stories framed around Russell Wilson as he leads the charge for a completely different franchise. Yet the 2022-23 season is more about the legacy and reputation of this elite player, who has carried a team on his shoulders for a countless number of seasons, day-in-day-out.

Colin Cowherd gets optimistic about Russell Wilson taking charge of Denver Broncos

Colin Cowherd spoke on The Herd, “AFC West – Best division in football – hard to argue wherein everybody could make the playoffs. Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders. For Raiders I just don’t like the backend of their defense. Denver…I think is going to be Tampa Bay of a couple of years ago. You’re not going to understand how good the roster is until you actually see it – with a great Quarterback, Russell Wilson.”

The thing with Russell Wilson is that–he supports not only the other players with his gameplay but also balances the entire team as the fall behind on instances. On one hand, where the defense is already solid for Broncos, given the challenge they would face in AFC West, Wilson’s leadership and vision could make this team a powerhouse. Not only in the regular season, but even deadlier as we approach the playoffs.

Entering his 11th NFL Season, Wilson made Broncos sacrifice a whole–5 draft picks, including two first-round and two second-round selections. Will the deal be worth? Well, we do not have to wait for long as the drama unravels on Monday when they lock horns against the Seahawks.
