Micah Parson has been phenomenal in making Dallas Cowboys reach where they currently are. That is largely due to the contribution he had in the team’s wins in the initial stages, when Dak Prescott’s was sidelined due to his thumb surgery. In the recent weeks, this concerned player has struggled largely due to his role as a versatile defender.
When Micah Parsons was inquired upon the same, he revealed that playing in the ‘trench warfare’ is starting to take a toll on his body to Buffalo Bills’ marquee Von Miller on the latter’s podcast. Moreover, Micah emphasized on how playing as a linebacker was better for his body and game, but circumstances haven’t allowed him to do in the 2022-23 season.
Von Miller on The Von Cast: “You changed (the Cowboys’) whole defense, just one drop of Micah Parsons and it goes crazy, like one of the best defenses in the league. When it’s time to pay you … you might get your own team. You’ll be playing for the Arlington Micah Parsons.” pic.twitter.com/uJ8QLIupdK

Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys seemingly uses him as a defensive end more often–despite Parsons’ insistence that he’s still a linebacker.
Micah Parsons on his latest struggles with Cowboys
Parsons said, “People don’t understand that trench warfare. I’m not gonna lie, when I was playing LB a whole lot last year, my body was way more fresh. There were some plays I wouldn’t get touched. When you’re on the line, you’re getting touched every play.”

Fans would be aware that just like his rookie year in 2021, Micah Parsons had a brilliant start to the 2022-23 campaign. Through the first 12 weeks of the season, he accumulated 12.0 sacks as he made his presence felt for the Cowboys.
However, in the last two games of the Cowboys, against Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans, Parsons has failed to fire. Not only has he failed to record a sack, but his opponents have seldom got the better of him.
