Cam Newton was a free agent last season, and he signed with his former team the Carolina Panthers, but his return was not fruitful.

Last season, Cam Newton returned to his former team the Carolina Panthers. This came after he left the Patriots after Mac Jones replaced him as their starting quarterback.

Cam has been a legend at Carolina, and everyone was excited about his return. Things started pretty well for him, but it got worse later. He wasn’t able to play well, and as a result, he was benched.

Recently Cam Newton appeared on the Pivot Podcast and talked about his return to Carolina. He also opened up about what went wrong for him, and how he was not able to play well.

He said, “Carolina, I put myself in another fu**up situation. I was signed on Thursday, I played on Sunday. At what point did you think you was gonna be successful? That next week, I started. That’s still up under 10 days of you being on the team, and you’re still trying to learn an offense.”

Newton added, “So before I sit up here and allow the narrative to be made that Cam ain’t got it no more, Cam is taking full responsibility and saying that Cam put himself in a fu**up situation.”

Cam Newton might return to the Panthers again

There is a very high possibility that Cam might end up on the Carolina Panthers once again for the next season. Their quarterback crisis hasn’t been solved yet, which is why they might again sign Cam.

In the podcast, Newton also said, “There’s not 32 guys better than me. On my soul, On my soul. On my soul.” He certainly believes that he is better than most of the quarterbacks in the league.

If he gets back to Carolina, he will have a great opportunity to prove his doubters wrong. Many people think that Cam Newton is not the same player anymore, and the former Patriots quarterback certainly has a chance to shut those people up.
