“That’s not a good idea”: Lakers fans are worried after hearing Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook could play together next season

Reports are emerging around the Lakers camp that both Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook could play together next season.

After the Los Angeles Lakers traded for Patrick Beverley it seemed like Russell Westbrook was on his way out of the Lakers. However, with no suitors of Westbrook available, it looks like the Lakers will run it with both Beverley and Westbrook playing together.

Both Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook have had their differences in the past, and due to it, both of them playing together was a big question mark ahead of a big season for the Lakers.

According to a report by Marc Stein: Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley have already been in contact since becoming Lakers teammates, league sources tell me, and new coach Darvin Ham has told them he has lineups in mind to play Russ and PatBev side-by-side.

This move could work either way for the Lakers. If Russell Westbrook is able to have a fantastic season and bounce back, then the addition of Pat Bev on defense will be a huge boost for the Lakers. Moreover, Beverley could bring the best out of Westbrook as he is a vocal leader, and it will boost all the players’ morale.
