After Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant submitted a trade request, the entire league was shocked. it came after Kyrie Irving chose to opt-in his player option and a few anticipated it.

KD is sought after by numerous organizations, but Durant has prioritized Miami and the Phoenix Suns as his top destinations. When it was anticipated that Kyrie Irving would be departing the team, the future of Durant was in doubt, but things became clearer when Irving was returning to Brooklyn.

In order to win a championship, Kevin Durant is probably going to sign with a strong squad. As a result, we are about to see the largest deal in NBA history. Numerous key players might switch teams so that their team can acquire KD.

However, the Brooklyn Nets aren’t in a hurry to get the trade done. They are waiting for the right offer. It could take a long time for it to happen, as not many teams are willing to give up major assets to get Durant.

Shams said, “[The Nets] are making moves and doing things this offseason with the preparation and operation as if they’re bringing these two guys back next season and playing with these two guys. They’re open in dialogue and open to teams like Toronto, Phoenix, Miami making offers but until they get that price threshold met, which I’m told is All-Star-type players, a boat load of draft picks, they’re not gonna move.”

He added, “This is what they’re telling teams: We’re not going to move Kevin Durant until the price is met. We’ll see how this summer goes … this process with Kevin Durant could take awhile.”
