Ziaire Williams scores in double-digits again, showing improvements in every game

The Grizzlies drafted Ziaire Williams as the 10th overall pick in the NBA 2021 draft. He had some fair game-time with the team. But with Desmond Bane unable to play in the game against the Pistons, Williams got a rare start. He made complete use of the opportunity and contributed handsomely to the Grizzlies win.

Williams already missed many games from December 6 due to an ankle injury. Then he was again found infected with Covid-19 and was placed in NBA protocol, which increased the length of his absence for the Grizzlies.

Ziaire Williams made his return against the Cavs and again played from the bench. He scored 10 points in 14 minutes. He got a chance to start the game on Thursday against the Pistons. Williams scored 14 points in 25 minutes with 5-8 efficiency from the field.

Williams shot 50% from the range connecting with two 3-pointers in the game. He also had 2 steals in the game but the 6’ 8” forward couldn’t grab a rebound or make any assist in the game.

Twitter reacts on Ziaire Williams performance

Williams had the best shooting game of his rookie career and received a lot of praises from the fans and pundits.

Some of the Twitter reactions:

Williams seems to be improving with every game and it can be an encouraging sign for the Grizzlies. He averages 5.4 points per game this season.

Memphis Grizzlies will visit Staples Center to face LA Clippers next on Saturday night.
