Watanabe has come a long way since his debut season. After playing for Memphis and Toronto, 28-year-old Watanabe was signed up by the Nets this year for a non-guaranteed minimum agreement.

However, every night, Yuta is proving his worth to the Nets. He has quickly become one of the most reliable two-way players for the Brooklyn Nets. Currently, Yuta is also one of the most efficient two-way players in the league.

What is the impressive stat of Yuta Watanabe that is grabbing everyone’s attention?

Watanabe’s current three-point shooting form is what is grabbing everyone’s eyeballs. As of now, Yuta has a 57.1% three-point percentage and an effective field goal percentage of 76.6% this season.

Furthermore, in the league, Yuta is first overall in three-point percentage and second in effective field goal percentage. Notably, in effective field goal percentage, Bruno Fernando of the Houston Rockets’ is leading.

Yuta has a 57.1% three-point shooting percentage, a number which is higher than most players in the NBA.

Not even Stephen Curry, the three-point god, has this percentage of three-point shooting. Interestingly, Curry is at No. 19 with a 44.3% three-point shooting percentage.

After Yuta, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is in second place with 53.8%, followed by Kevin Huerter with 51%, Dean Wade at 50%, and Brandon Ingram at 49%.

When compared to other two-way players, at the moment Yuta efficiently out-shoots the likes of Damion Lee, Kelly Olynyk, and Mikal Bridges in threes.

Talking about Watanabe’s growth, in his first four NBA seasons, Yuta averaged 35.2% in three-point percentage.

Not just three-point shooting, Yuta is also presently Brooklyn’s most dependable perimeter defender. He holds his own against some of the league’s top scorers on switches, hustles for a rebound, and attacks the floor on a fastbreak.

In the last game of Brooklyn against the Memphis Grizzlies, Yuta scored 16 points with a three-point percentage of 66.7%, making 4-6 threes.
