Boston Celtics’ players are aware of how they need to approach the paint area if Robert Williams III is on the floor. Given the obvious, Jaylen Brown launched an alley-oop pass to Robert Williams in the fourth quarter as the away side needed to boost their morale.

This is just when the big man not only dunked the ball, but even decided to hang on the rim. This resulted in the basket breaking down for good. This gave the entire staff member-crew in the Ball Arena had a task on their hands, trying to fix the rim as there were more than 6:40 minutes of game action left.

Robert Williams III breaks the rim to delay Celtics vs Nuggets by more than 30 mins

Speaking of the incident, Boston Celtics were trailing the Denver Nuggets 110-97 at that point, so some might say that the delay benefitted them. However, before the conspiracy theorists claim Robert Williams III did it on purpose, they were actually on a good run at that point. Besides, it didn’t help the Celtics that much, with the Nuggets coming out victorious 123-111. However, the delay in game did give Celtics and its fan base a hope to change things in the remaining time.

Given that Williams III could make plays with some venom and energy, hopefully Celtics would be hoping for him to break many more rim in the coming contests.
