There has been an ever-grown speculations that NBA teams are purposely tanking their 2022-23 season campaign only to get a higher slot in the 2023 draft to acquire ‘generational talent’ Victor Wembanyama.

Tanking hasn’t been an unfamiliar territory in the league, but if you were to believe 7’3 beast that isn’t the case at all.

The spoken off youngster doesn’t only have the ability to knock down dunks or to make emphatic blocks but he is also an impressive 3-pointer shooter, containing the surprise package of hitting Tough jumpers from inside the paint.

“Tanking? It’s a weird strategy. I find it unreasonable, and I try not to think about it. I also heard that the NBA considered changing a few rules for me, but that doesn’t concern me,” stated Victor Wembanyama as reported by Basket News.

At the moment there are 4 teams looking in prime shape to acquire Victor Wembanyama – Charlotte Hornets, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons, each of these mentioned teams are all within a couple of games of each other at the bottom of the league in the 2022-23 season so far. However, that is just where the problem is.

There are no doubts that Victor is arguably going to the No. 1 pick in the next draft. Deemed as a player who could possibly rank alongside LeBron James and Michael Jordan, if he manages to stay healthy, his height can make teams a Super House in their respective conference.

That being said, the introduction of the NBA Draft Lottery at least made the worst record favorite to acquire the best player in the next draft class yet there is no guarantee that they will have the first pick. However, they are still the odds-on favorite to land the most coveted spot in the draft, which remains to be seen as the current season unfolds.
