NBA had just released the ranking for the KIA NBA MVP race, and Twitteratis reacted upon seeing Stephen Curry above LeBron James and Ja Morant

The Kia MVP for the regular season is a prestigious award given in NBA. The league regularly updates the ranking and feasible candidates for the award. Interestingly the list is in descending order which indicates top-ranked players’ huge chances of winning.

Stephen Curry 2
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – APRIL 6: Stephen Curry #30 of the Golden State Warriors smiles and walks off the court against the Milwaukee Bucks on April 6, 2021 at Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

The list is made against the current performances by the player and his effectiveness in the game. So ideally, the most impactful player of the most impactful team will get the chance to win the regular-season MVP Award. Though MVP is chosen by votes from the panel of sportswriters and broadcasters in the US and Canada, these rankings might affect their vote.

As per the NBA rankings, the Nets, Bulls, Bucks, and the Heat are the top teams in the east. As for the Western Conference, the Suns, Warriors, Grizzlies, and Jazz are leaders. Still, some lower-ranked teams like the Mavs, Nuggets, and the Lakers have exceptional individual performances who make the NBA MVP list.

Peoples’ reactions to the Stephen Curry above Ja Morant and LeBron James in the NBA KIA MVP list

With no offense to Stephen Curry; people feel that Ja Morant and LeBron James have performed better this season. Curry has a star-studded team that provides great support on every possession, while Ja Morant is carrying a fairly new team, and they already have exceeded peoples expectations this season

LeBron James also is single-handedly keeping La Lakers in the playoff picture, regardless of his teams’ poor (very poor) show. Here’s how Twitteratis reacted to the list.

Another fan simply reacted to LeBron’s 10th spot:

One keen-eyed NBA fan provided NBA’s own list of power ranking (one of the deciding factors of MVP ranking) which is very different from the MVP ranking itself.
