Draymond Green Michael Jordan: Steve Kerr responds to Draymond Green breaking Michael Jordan’s record

A somewhat peculiar accomplishment was made during the Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets game on Saturday night. Draymond Green has exceeded Michael Jordan’s record for three-pointers made in a career after making the game’s lone triple. Given Green’s image as a god-awful shooter from the outside, many people thought this was amusing.

Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Warriors, became downright pleased when he learned about this aspect. Although it was a random statistic, Kerr said he would make sure they celebrated this amazing accomplishment. After all, Draymond Green passing Michael Jordan in a significant shooting metric is not something that happens every day.

Draymond Green or Michael Jordan: Who’s been better according to the stats?

Michael Jordan, a renowned NBA player, averaged 30.1 points throughout the course of his 15-year career. In contrast, Draymond Green scores 8.7 points each game on average. Draymond Green averages 2.6 three-pointers a game, compared to Jordan’s 1.7. No matter how significant the disparity is, Green has now defeated Michael Jordan in an oddly limited number of games.

Many people found the record amusing, so the media approached Steve Kerr, the coach of the Warriors, in his opinion on Green’s victory over Michael Jordan. Naturally, Kerr responded to the fact with a very delighted expression, calling it “random,” and laughing it off: “That’s good, I like that,” Kerr noted. “That’s a random stat, but yeah we’ll celebrate that. I’ll go down and toast Draymond downstairs.”

Green now holds the 322nd-most three-pointers in NBA history, despite surpassing the great himself. The amount is plenty to put everything in perspective about Green’s position in the shooting division.
