Kobe Bryant’s former teammate has put forth his urge to be an NBA Referee. Smush Parker played as a Los Angeles Laker from 2005 to 2007, before being traded to Miami Heat.

Smush Parker and Kobe Bryant have not seen the good side of each other. To be specific, Smush’s gameplay did not bode well with the Lakers’ legend. Kobe specified that Parker does not belong in the NBA and that his skills are not fit to enter the court in a Lakers jersey.

Smush Parker tweeted, “There’s only been 3 other Former NBA Athletes to make the journey back into the NBA as an Official. Bernie Fryer, Leon Wood, Haywoode Workman. I’m working on being the 4th..!!!”

Although, considering NBA players turning into referees is not a bad idea. These players have been through the same feelings on court. It would be easier for ex-players to try to officiate as they would have a better idea of how to handle haywire situations off court.

Sure, Smush Parker wants to be an NBA referee as he has the knowledge needed to officiate a game. After Kobe Bryant dug deep in his playing career, the referee position is all that could be left open for the guard. Parker was signed by various NBA teams, but his position in the teams were as good as Shaq’s free throws.

Moreover, Kobe Bryant in 2012, spoke out loudly with respect to some of his teammates, “I almost won an MVP with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown on my team, I was shooting 45 times a game. What was I supposed to do? Pass it to Chris Mihm or Kwame Brown?”

As per the reports put forth by Yahoo Sports, Kobe called Smush Parker his “worst” teammate and suggested, “He shouldn’t have been in the NBA but we were too cheap to pay for a point guard. So we let him walk on.”
