Rudy Gobert celebrates online with pre-Christmas presents for more than 450 Target Center staff members

Concerns abound over Rudy Gobert’s actual contribution to victory. These doubts intensified after the Minnesota Timberwolves traded a tonne of choices for him to the Utah Jazz. But Gobert’s dedication to supporting his local community is one thing that cannot be questioned.

On Monday, Gobert busted out his best Santa Claus impression in the spirit of the season. Gobert presented $50 each and an autographed card to more than 450 Target Center employees, including ushers, concession workers, and other staff members, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

That kind gesture from Rudy Gobert was appreciated by everyone. It’s not like he has to send gifts to anyone, much less 450 individuals with whom he has varied degrees of connection. Nonetheless, it’s wonderful to see these types of deeds, no matter how big or tiny, as they may serve as recognition for the effort that typically goes unappreciated.

Rudy Gobert: A Real Life Hero

This wasn’t the first time Gobert has at least slightly improved the lives of the players on his squad. When the COVID-19 epidemic was at its worst, the 7’1″ Frenchman, who was then a Jazz player, gave $500,000 to Jazz personnel and pandemic relief efforts. Additionally, earlier this year, Gobert gave each Jazz game night employee $50.

Rudy Gobert has a positive influence on the court, but it’s also clear that he cares about the people he happens to work with. Gobert is the president of the “Rudy’s Kids Foundation,” a charity in addition to the ones already listed. That group’s mission is to give kids access to meals and leisure activities.

Rudy Gobert is now out with an ankle injury. But it’s obvious that won’t stop him from climbing chimneys and bringing festive pleasure.
