Paul George is one of the best two-way players in the NBA but has been afflicted by injuries in recent years. He hasn’t played more than 55 games in the regular season since the 2018-19 NBA season. This has limited his impact with the Los Angeles Clippers and has prevented them from having consistent success.

George has started this season a bit slow but has shown flashes of greatness with 2 35+ point performances. The Clippers will need the best from George to stay afloat as Kawhi Leonard recovers from injury.

Will the Los Angeles Clippers be NBA title contenders?

The Los Angeles Clippers look like a shell of themselves and have underperformed so far this season. Kawhi Leonard is out with injury and key bench layers like Reggie Jackson have underperformed.

Until Kawhi Leonard comes back from injury, the Clippers will be dependent on Paul George. This is not ideal as George has been injury-prone in recent years and may get injured during the season.

The Clippers need players like Norman Powell, Reggie Jackson and Luke Kennard to step up. If not, they will find themselves in a very bad position.
