If there were any doubts raised upon Luka Doncic’s clutch playmaking and scoring ability, then his latest performance against the New York Knicks answered all those doubts. Having dropped a stellar 60 point triple double to lead his team 3 games over .500 mark, the Slovenian international heaped praise from all over the world.

On the same note, analyst and sports media veteran – Nick Wright too couldn’t take his eyes of Luka as he went onto deem his brilliant performance to be ‘harder’ than Kobe Bryant’s magnificent 81-point masterpiece.

From knocking a clutch game-tying jumper to send the game to OT, to dropping 21 rebounds and 10 assists as well, the knicks had no answer whenever Doncic had the ball at his disposal. Highlighting the same Wright went onto reveal his true feelings on the work ethic and attitude of 3-time All Star on the latest episode of First Things First.

Nick Wright on Luka Doncic’s 60-point Triple-Double

Nick said, “I’m just so proud. He works so hard. From the mean streets of inner Slovenia, to put together what was in the regular season, the single-greatest televised performance ever. There’s your Mount Rushmore, regular-season NBA performances: Wilt’s 100 (points), Luka’s 60-20-10, Kobe’s 81 and an underrated Michael Jordan game.

“What Luka did yesterday is the best regular-season performance in modern NBA history. It does not mean it’s the most memorable. It does not mean that people are going to deify it the way they have Kobe’s. But what he did yesterday is harder than Kobe’s 81.”

Wright does raise a valid point here – while Doncic and Kobe have poles apart playing style, there is no denying that both of them are arguably the most versatile scorers of their respective times.
