NBA Hall of Famer Del Harris claims Shaquille O’Neal would have been greatest ever player if he had this Kobe Bryant ability

Shaquille O’Neal is often known as one of the best players to ever step on a basketball court and often considered to be one of the best centers to exist in the history of the NBA.

However, even though Shaq was an incredible specimen who was one of the most dominant species in the NBA combining his size, strength and speed – few people consider Shaq to be the greatest player alive, and according to Del Harris, there is a reason for the same.

The NBA Hall of Famer recently spoke about what makes Shaquille O’Neal a tier below the very best of all time, a tier featuring the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, LeBron James and Shaq’s old Lakers teammate–none other than the late great Kobe Bryant.

According to Harris, if the Big Shamrock had this quality that made Kobe Bryant the incredible player and athlete he was–he could’ve been the greatest ever player of all time with the physique that he boasted of in his prime.

And in all honesty, there might be some logic behind the statement as this one quality most associated with Kobe could’ve pushed Shaq to the top tier.

What did Harris have to say about the one quality that Shaq lacked?

According to Harris, Shaq would have been the greatest ever player if he had just one quality that Kobe Bryant was renowned for.

Harris was quoted to be saying that if Shaq had Kobe’s seriousness, he could have been the best player ever.

Even though the pair combined to win three back-to-back Championships for the Los Angeles Lakers, there was one quality that separated the both – while Shaq was known for his playful nature and sense of humour, Kobe was known for his resilient “Mamba mentality.”

Either way, there is no doubt over the fact that Shaq still made an incredible career out of himself – a four-time champion and an MVP winner with a signature sense of humour that is appreciated to this day.
