Shannon Sharpe thinks Anthony Davis can help the Lakers secure a strong playoff position

Due to his recent performance against the Washington Wizards, Anthony Davis is the talk of the NBA as he has proven all of his adversaries wrong. AD is leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a successful winning season by playing some MVP-worth basketball at last. Things are going well for the Lakers now that they have started to run their offensive end via Davis. So fantastic that Shannon Sharpe, who was once sceptical, is now riding with them.

At Capital One Arena recently, the Los Angeles Lakers played as hosts to the Washington Wizards. Following the Milwaukee Bucks, the Washington Wizards became the next victim of Davis and the Lakers’ unstoppable winning streak.

The Los Angeles Lakers won by a score of 130-119 thanks to AD, who handled business admirably and became the first Laker since Kobe Bryant to record back-to-back 40-point performances. The Los Angeles Lakers’ offensive surge was stopped by Anthony’s 50-point bomb against the defenceless and stunned Washington Wizards.

Shannon Sharpe’s take on Anthony Davis

Davis receives the most praise for Shannon Sharpe’s return to supporting the Lakers as a true believer. Shannon Sharpe stated in the tweet: “AD is playing out of his F’ing mind. 53-15 on 21-28 shooting. He’s going to play himself MVP discussion and Lakers into top 4 seed.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are talented and have the capacity to back up Shannon Sharpe’s assertion. But given how many teams in the western conference are contending for a playoff spot, it’s too soon to declare them a Top-4 seed. One of the greatest trios in league history, the Big Three of the Lakers—Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook—can enter the discussion of title contenders at any moment.
