Luka Doncic scores a 60-point triple double to stun the world of NBA. He enters the MVP debate after his performance on Tuesday talking the game to overtime.

Luka Doncic has established himself as the only player in NBA history to score 60 points with a total of 21 rebounds and 10 assists. Mavericks won 121-126 against the New York Knicks in overtime. Both former and current NBA players tweeted about the Slovenian player counting him among the best in the league.

Upon questioning after his 60-21-10 performance, he said, “I’m tired a shell. I need a recovery beer.” To which the reporter replied, “We can arrange that for you.”

Doncic forced overtime with his last shot, thinking the Mavs have won the game. The game entered overtime, but Luka was dancing around like children after scoring the 2-point shot with 1 second left on the clock.

“To do something that’s never been done before, that’s hard to do,” Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said. “There’s been some great players before him. Elgin Baylor and Wilt, he was in that class, and then he separated himself and made his own class.”

The 2019 Rookie of the Year joined legends Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor as the 3rd player in NBA history to score 50 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists in a game. They achieved the feat in 1963/1968 and 1961 respectively.

“I know it was two seconds or something,” Doncic said after the game. “I just threw it up, hopefully it went in. A lot of people asked me about this back in the locker room, and I said I thought we won it, that’s why I went to the crowd like this. I thought we won the game, and then I see it’s tied. I was like, ‘Oof.’”
