Klay Thompson joins the many NBA players who have sent prayer to the skies for fellow sportsperson Damar Hamlin. He is still in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
After Laker’s LeBron James offered his prayers in the post-game interview. Despite thumping 43 points with 11 rebounds and 6 assists against the Charlotte Hornets. James first comments were for Damar Hamlin. Similarly, The Warriors decided to put forth their star Klay Thompson to offer compassion to Hamlin’s family.
The 4-time NBA Champion, Klay Thompson offered his condolences to Damar Hamlin and his family. The Buffalo Bills organization and the city of Buffalo. He said, “As athletes, sometimes the game can overshadow us as individuals or people.”
“On behalf of the organization, we wish him the best. We’re keeping him in our prayers and hoping for the best possible outcome. He’s a tremendous person and it’s bigger than the sport.”

The NBA’s official Twitter handle posted a message in support of the Buffalo Bills’ safety, “The entire NBA family’s thoughts and prayers are with Damar Hamlin, his family and the NFL community.”
The world was downhearted at the sight of Damar receiving CPR on-field. His Toy Drive donation that he started with the Kelly and Nina’ Day Care Center has seen the effect. They started with a goal of raising $2500, it has reached $3,363,660 with more than 130K donors.
Alongside LeBron James and Klay Thompson, Donovan Mitchel also spoke out. He said, “I heard about it, I didn’t see it. But you know I wish him and his family … we’re praying for him, all of us in the locker room. From the Cavaliers organization, we want to wish the best and praying everything goes well.”
