Nets superstar Kevin Durant now has a $15000 fine after failing to comply with NBA security interview

Brooklyn Nets lost the away game against the Trail Blazers on 10th Jan 2022. Kevin Durant seemed quite upset with the loss and couldn’t control his anger and commented on the NBA schedule. His expression and use of the “f” word in the postgame press conference were found offensive enough in the review; forcing NBA league operations to punish him with $15000 fine.

After the loss, an interviewer asked about the schedule that had the Nets team playing back-to-back games on the east-west coast, Kevin replied furiously. He said “I’m not making no excuses about no flights or our schedule. Everybody’s schedule is f–ked up.”

Durant accepted the fact that the Covid-19 situation forced the postponement of the games. He added “Who cares? It’s a part of the game. It’s a part of who we are. We’ve been in the league. … They throw s–t at you, you’ve gotta figure out how to work around it, so who cares? That’s what championship teams go through: a little adversity.”

On another occasion, NY Knicks’ Julius Randle also faced a fine of $25000 for similar word usage and thumbs down gestures towards the fans.
