Houston Rockets got beaten by Karl Anthony Towns’ big scoring night

Minnesota Timberwolves found some rhythm this season as they won 4 games in a row and reached the 8th spot in the Western Conference. Karl Anthony Towns put up some huge numbers for them, but tonight’s game against the Rockets was a high point for his personal scoring this season.

Houston Rockets are in the re-building phase but managed to grab 11 wins out of 41 with their young core. Minnesota Timberwolves on the other hand are looking for a postseason place but were struggling with consistency and injuries to top players.

Towns, their most influential player was out for 6 games during the calendar year change but made his return on 6th January against the Thunders. After 2 games with fairly fine performances, KAT found his scoring touch and destroyed the Rockets’ defense with a 40 point game.

D’Angelo Russell also had a double-double with 22 points and 10 assists while Jarred Vanderbilt managed 21 points and a staggering 19 rebounds in the game. Christian Wood provided some resistance with team-high 22 points, 9 rebounds but the Rockets were dominated by the Wolves losing the game 141-123.
