The Miami Heat was knocked out by the Boston Celtics following the loss in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The 1st seed in the East lost a game 7 at their own home court. As a result, everyone associated with the franchise was left devastated.

Jimmy Butler had a phenomenal run in the playoffs. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to take his team to the NBA Finals. He led the comeback for his team, but in the end, his missed three-point shot turned out to be decisive.

Jimmy spoke up after the loss against the Celtics. He said, “Not good enough, I didn’t do my job. Stats don’t mean anything, as I say over and over again. The Boston Celtics did what they came out here to do in this series. I learned that I have to be better, and I will be better.

He added, “Get back to the lab and have an opportunity to work out with these guys over the summer, and we’ll come back better than ever.”

Jimmy Butler talked about his mindset for the next season

Jimmy claimed that he believes in his team, and they’ll bounce back next season. There will be changes around the roster, but Miami showed the world that they are a very good team.

Jimmy said, “Figure out a way to be consistent, I think we had enough — I think we do have enough. It sucks because you don’t know who is going to be on the roster any given year, you know what I’m saying. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to play with the guys that I did have to play with. It’s been like that every year in the league.”

Jimmy added, “We had enough. Next year, we will have enough and we’re going to be right back in the same situation, and we’re going to get it done.”

The Miami Heat will certainly be in championship contention until Jimmy departs. They have shown twice in three years that they are capable of defeating anyone. If not for injuries, they might have defeated the Celtics as well.

How can Miami Heat improve their roster for next season?

We should get ready to face many changes on the Miami roster ahead of the next season. There is a high possibility that Victor Oladipo will sign with someone else, as he would want to get paid.

There will be further departures also, but the likes of Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo are likely to be untouchable. They have shown throughout the season that they are the core of this team.

They are likely to pursue another all-star via a trade. The likes of Zach Lavine, Bradley Beal, and Donovan Mitchell are the players who can improve their squad massively.

Miami needs a scoring player, who can create his shots. In these playoffs, this was the major concern for them. They’ll need another player to link up with Jimmy, and that could make Miami a clear-cut favorite for the championship next season.

It will be a very important offseason for Miami. Jimmy is getting older, and they’ll need to put solid pieces around him pretty quickly, or else their championship window might close soon.
