Jayson Tatum breaks silence on being behind Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2023 All-Star voting

Jayson Tatum has been amongst the Top 2 MVP candidates after his red-hot performance for the Boston Celtics in the 2022-23 NBA Season. Although the Cs are currently on a 2-game losing streak, it seems to be enough for fans to vote Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant more for the 2023 All-Star game. Both of whom have had greater impacts in recent weeks.

So, without any delay let me make everyone aware of the 2023 All-Star voting highlights. Celtics star Jayson Tatum had to settle for the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference frontcourt. The 24-year-old stud had 2.1 million votes was outpaced by the Top 3 frontcourt vote-getters in the conference, namely, Kevin Durant (Oof Brooklyn Nets) (3.1 million), Giannis Antetokounmpo (of Milwaukee Bucks) (2.9 million), and Joel Embiid (of Philadelphia 76ers) (2.2 million).

Given that Tatum has given his all to make Boston Celtics the best team in the 2022-23 NBA Season, his response was bound to be brutal. Perhaps when he was asked about his views on the 2023 All-Star charts, Tatum had nothing but savagery in his mind.

Jayson Tatum on the 2023 All-Star voting

“Yeah, I mean, I would like to start, obviously. Who wouldn’t?” Tatum said. “I’m in a tough a*s position behind KD, Giannis & Embiid. … I know I got my work cut out to beat one of those guys but regardless, I think we’ll all be in Utah playing in the (All-Star Game).”

That being said, Tatum would love to be a starter from the Eastern Conference again this season, but at the same time, he understands that he’s still behind KD, Giannis, and Embiid in the 2023 All-Star voting. While Jayson has been exceptional, these 3 stars have been nothing phenomenal and even had the same impact on their respective teams.
