After the Lakers’ most recent loss, LeBron James said, “I’m a winner. And I want to win and give myself a chance to win and still compete for championship…Playing basketball at this level just to be playing basketball is not in my DNA. It’s not in my DNA anymore.”

Despite him averaging 27.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game on more than 49% efficiency rate, the Lakers are on the verge of missing the playoffs for the second season in a row. What’s even more frustrating is the fact that their star player Anthony Davis, who got off to an exceptional start is still ruled out, and there is absolutely no timeline to when he can return, leaving Bron out in the open once again.
“I have multiple thoughts,” Bron said about the state of the Lakers 37 games in the 2022-23 season, as per ClutchPoints. “I think about the day-to-day of how we get better throughout the course of the season. But how we get better from game to game.
“I think about how much longer I’m going to play the game. I think about that I don’t want to finish my career playing at this level from a team aspect. I’ll still be able to compete for championships because I know what I can still bring to any ball club with the right pieces.”
