Stephen Curry says having his Finals MVP and Regular Season MVP awards displayed at home “sounds so cliché and ridiculous”
Superstar Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has essentially accomplished everything in his stellar career. The only prize missing from Stephen Curry’s collection was the Finals MVP award, which he won during the Boston Celtics series victory last year.
However, it turns out that Steph isn’t the kind of person who likes to take pride in his own accomplishments—at least not yet. The Warriors icon recently admitted that none of his MVP trophies are actually on display in his home.
Steph has received three MVP awards. In 2015 and 2016, he won back-to-back MVP awards during the regular season. The next year, after helping the Warriors defeat the Celtics in a six-game series, he won his first career Finals MVP award.

It appears that Stephen Curry doesn’t enjoy revelling in his success at this point in his career. In the time he has remaining in the NBA, this player is still highly driven to win more championships and awards. Having those MVP awards on display in his own home must imply some sense of closure, which Steph obviously isn’t ready to handle just yet.
The Warriors don’t appear to be the championship-caliber squad that is prepared to defend its title at the moment. However, there is still a lot of the season left, so it would be crazy to write the Dubs off with Steph Curry on their squad.
Before Thursday night, when Curry scored 34 points as the Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics 103-90 to win their fourth championship in eight years, Curry’s place in the Basketball Hall of Fame had already been secured. But it was obvious what this one meant. Prior to the game’s climax, Curry was so overwhelmed with emotion that he started crying.
