This was Gordon’s latest incident in his continuous downward spiral of recent few years.

The stabbing with sewing needles was first reported by rapper Cam’Ron. The report is an investigative report for Cam’Ron’s sports show, ‘It Is What It Is.’

Take a look at the tweet where Cam’Ron is seen describing the event. He went on to describe how Ben Gordon was using sewing needles to stab people.

“It’s your boy Cam reporting for It Is What It Is Talk in front of Harlem Hospital, where former NBA player and Sixth Man of the Year Ben Gordon seems to be having mental issues trying to stab people. Weapon of choice, sewing needles,” Cam’Ron said while the camera panned to show the hospital where Gordon was admitted.

The tweet was a compilation of video clips. After the introduction by Cam’Ron, the next few clips displayed one of the needles Gordon allegedly used on the street and actual footage of the arrest that shows the former NBA shooting guard moving his head strangely as police put handcuffs on him.

Other clips show Gordon in the hospital being attended to by a nurse but later it shows that he tried to escape from the facility.

Cam’Ron next got accounts from eyewitnesses who saw the whole incident.

The first witness said, “I didn’t know what’s going on. I am walking by and I see Ben outside with a sewing needle trying to stab people. I don’t even know.”

Second witness followed the same lines stating, “8:30 AM, I am taking my kids to school. I see Ben and I’m like what’s up? He’s running with cops behind him. They tackled him and he got sewing needles.”

A few years back, Gordon revealed that he is suffering from Bipolar Disorder and depression. Many are linking this recent incident and his strange behavior to his mental health.

Ben Gordon has a long history of criminal charges

Last week on Friday Gordon was charged with two misdemeanor counts of violence causing bodily harm and battery establishing physical contact, according to Deanese Williams-Harris of the Chicago Tribune.

It has been learned that police were called after security guards tried to escort Gordon out of a McDonald’s in Chicago following a disturbance. Gordon allegedly punched one man in the face and threw another to the ground.

Following the altercation, Gordon was arrested at the scene after 3 a.m. local time.

Last month, Gordon was arrested in New York’s LaGuardia airport after allegedly punching his 10-year-old son. Due to this, he was already facing a handful of charges.

According to a witness, Gordon struck his son “multiple times” in the face before police handles the situation. Next, Gordon resisted arrest and injured two police officers in the struggle.

Following the incident, Gordon’s son and both officers were admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

Later on, Gordon was released from the arrest that was linked to assaulting his son. Just after a few hours, Gordon was arrested again due to a 2020 robbery that happened in Harlem.

Weeks later after the November incident, Gordon was apprehended in Los Angeles after allegedly assaulting and flashing a knife at his former apartment building manager.
