Recently Shareef was asked about how it would be if he and his father play one-on-one. To which he said that the score will be 11-0 as his dad will lose the match easily. This is what he said,

“This is what he is gonna do. He is going to back me down and if he misses it’s a foul and if he makes it it is his ball and every time I will go past him he is going to say its the travel or something like that. (Shareef then ask his brother every time when they play does he cheats or not to which he says that every time we play dad he cheats all the time ). He says that all he can do is foul me and he can’t shoot. Three triple one-on-one I am winning.”

Shaq’s son Shareef O’Neal was undrafted into the NBA this season

NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal’s son plays for his father’s former team Los Angeles Lakers in this year’s NBA Summer League.

However, the 6-foot-10 forward went undrafted during the 2022 NBA Draft despite having worked out with multiple teams including Los Angeles, and attending the G league elite prospect camp.

Shareef redshirted his freshman year at UCLA due to a heart condition before leaving for Louisiana in 2020. The Lakers Legend didn’t want his son to go into the 2022 NBA Draft.

“He didn’t want me to do this [opt for the NBA Draft], and I know he probably doesn’t want me saying this, but sorry. We’re both grown, we’ll get past it,” “I know he’s an NBA legend, I know he’s my dad, but it was right in front of me, I had to go get it. So, if he likes it or not, it’s not really going to stop me from doing what I want to do.” the younger O’Neal said to reporters before becoming undrafted on Thursday. (via NY Post)

Instead of drafting Shareef, the Lakers selected Michigan State’s Max Christie with the No. 35 during this year’s draft.
