De’Aaron Fox was in no mood to let go of the refs on Saturday as the Los Angeles Lakers registered their first 5-game winning streak at the expense of Sacramento Kings. This loss was Mike Brown’s team’s second consecutive as their marquee scorer was so livid that he walked straight out of the arena after the final whistle.

Talking first about the incident – Dennis Schroder attacked the paint area with the last potential possession when De’Aaron Fox nudged him. For which the refs called a foul against the 25-year-old Kings star. Even after Mike Brown used his coach’s challenge, the call was upheld, giving Schroder the perfect chance to shoot two free throws to take the lead for his team.

With just over 3 seconds remaining on the clock, the Kings had no timeouts left. As a result of which Fox took a half-court shot with an aim of winning it all. With no surprises, the ball was nowhere close, and Fox was not ready to let go of it.

De’Aaron Fox deletes his tweet condemning the refs

“Thought we were supposed to let the players decide the game,” De’Aaron Fox pondered out loud, after the end of Kings vs. Lakers on Saturday. But realizing the consequences of how the NBA could hold him accountable, the Kings star quickly backtracked and deleted his tweet.

Although De’Aaron Fox dropped team-high 34 points, he doesn’t care much about his second-half heroics. That being said, the spoken-off loss dropped the Sacramento Kings to 20-18, which is still good enough for fifth place in a crowded Western Conference. On the other hand, Los Angeles Lakers find themselves in a three-way tie for the final play-in slot, after this particular win.
