During a timeout, the Cavs show an amazing LeBron James tribute video

This season, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will make their one and only visit to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers. Cavs honoured and played a tribute video for LeBron James, who guided the Cavaliers to their lone championship in team history in 2015–2016, which was hailed with a loud ovation from the crowd.

Over the course of his two stays with the Cavaliers, LeBron James spent 11 years there. After Cleveland selected him as the first overall choice in the 2003 NBA Draft, his first contract lasted seven years. In his final two seasons with the Cavaliers, James won back-to-back NBA MVP honours while leading the club to one trip to the NBA Finals.

Possible reasons behind Cavs playing a tribute video to honour LeBron James

LeBron James averaged 27.8 points per game, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.9 blocks a game throughout that time. The 18-time All-Star had field-goal percentages of 47.5%, three-point percentages of 32.9%, and free-throw percentages of 74.2%. However, James fled under circumstances that made his native Ohio turn against him.

James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the promise of bringing home a title after spending four years with the Miami Heat.  He won two NBA titles and two NBA MVP honours as a player of the Miami Heat. James ended up leaving the team after the 2017–2018 campaign to join the Los Angeles Lakers, but he is now welcomed back.

James will always be loved in Cleveland since he ended a 52-year championship drought for the city’s professional clubs. Although LeBron James’ jersey was the top-selling one in Ohio that year and, that wasn’t always the case. On the infamously known televised show The Decision, James revealed his decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers.
