Lakers star Carmelo Anthony confronts Sixers fan at the courtside after continuous heckling

Philadelphia 76ers courtside fans troubled Carmelo Anthony during the game. Melo tried to confront him 

Los Angeles Lakers were at Wells Fargo Center playing against the Philadelphia 76ers. Joel Embiid and co already had troubled the LA team enough that Carmelo Anthony got frustrated over a court side fan’s comment. He went on to confront the fan, but the referee intervened and cooled off the situation.

Philadelphia 76ers was leading in the game and gave the Lakers very little hope of any comeback. The home crowd was behind their team, cheering the team’s every possession and booing the Lakers’ ones, forcing errors on timely intervals.

Carmelo Anthony, who had a tough shooting night scoring single digit in 20 odd minutes, got frustrated with a courtside fan as he was targeting Melo possession after possession. After 3 to 4 continuous heckling Anthony tried to confront the fane during a dead-ball situation. But Anthony Davis and Referee’s intervened and handled the situation well.

Though the fan’s comments are still unclear, ever composed Carmelo seemed pretty upset about that. After that the security was called on the floor and those fans were shown door. LeBron James also had such an experience this season and those fans were ejected from the arena that time.

Carmelo Anthony and the Lakers were undone by the 76ers 

On the court, the 76ers dominated the Lakers overall play. Lakers managed only 87 points in the game, way below their season average. Only Anthony Davis put up some offensive show scoring 31 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Carmelo had only 9 points in 26 minutes of gameplay. The Lakers playing without LeBron James looked like a very mediocre team and lacked leadership on the floor.

Eastern All Star Starter Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris combined 49 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 Assists in the game. The struggling Lakers will face Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.
