Brian Windhorst has raised an issue or two about how he feels that the Los Angeles Lakers’ off-season signings

The Los Angeles Lakers made their fair share of business this summer. While the Lakes began their business in the off-season with the signings of a number of free agents, they followed it up by tying down LeBron James on a veteran two-year extension – and then they went on to secure the signing of Patrick Beverley on a trade deal as well as bringing free agent Dennis Schröder in.

In addition to the signings, the Lakers also retained Russell Westbrook who will be staying for another season with the Los Angeles franchise – thereby prompting people to come to the verdict that the Lakers have had an incredible summer and look like one of the favourites for the NBA Championship in the new season. However, it so turns out that there is a contrary opinion too.

NBA analyst Brian Windhorst has expressed the contrary opinion that he does not think that the Lakers had a successful off-season when it came to transactions.

According to Windhorst, he does not see the Lakers gelling as a unit and thereby does not see them mounting too much of a challenge for the NBA Championship when the season tips off in October.

What did Windhorst have to say about the Lakers’ signings in the off-season?

To put it simply, Windhorst was not impressed with the Lakers’ off-season business.

When asked about his opinion on the Lakers’ signings, the NBA analyst started off by saying he feels that the Lakers put together a bunch of players who can’t shoot the ball well. The lack of shooters in the roster prompted Windhorst to come to this stand.

A convinced Windhorst also added: “This can be used as receipts later. You can use this against me, I guess, Lakers. I don’t believe that the basketball people in this organization believe that this is a group that’s actually gonna work.”
