Reports of an altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriors have plagued the Golden State Warriors’ preseason so far. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, tempers have flared in what has been described to be an atmosphere filled with tension in the Warriors’ preseason camp. It is believed that the tension is due to Green’s and Poole’s contract situations – while Poole is rumoured to sign an extension soon, Green is likely to play out this season with a player option ahead of next season.

Reports have also suggested that there has been a change in Poole’s attitude ahead of a lucrative payday as part of an extension soon, which led to the altercation and Green striking him – leading to the practice session being called off. However, their teammate and GSW veteran Andre Igoudala has come to the pair’s rescue as he has blown away the rumours of the situation.

What did Andre Igoudala have to say about the Green-Poole altercation?

According to the veteran, the situation as reported as no truth in it whatsoever.

The 38 year old has come out in defense of both his teammates. While Iguodala shut down Poole’s allegations with his tweet saying “What we not gone do is talk crazy about my young fella JP… great character kid… miss me with all that other bs… straight from the “SOURCE””, he defended Green by tweeting “And it’s family business with my bro @Money23Green too.”

Iguodala might not have plenty of game time once again this season, but he completely justifies his spot on the roster – the Warriors completely need his experience and veteran leadership for situations such as this.
