Kemba Walker is expected to be signed by the Dallas Mavericks in order to satisfy their urgent need for another player who can assist Luka Doncic. Facundo Campazzo will be released in order to make room on the team’s roster for the veteran guard.

Walker, who is 32 years old and has been sidelined throughout his career by knee problems, is currently a free agent after being waived by the Detroit Pistons in the middle of October. Walker is a four-time All-Star and he played 37 games for the New York Knicks last year and finished with averages of 11.6 points and 3.5 assists. He was traded by the Knicks to the Pistons on draft night this year.

Luka Doncic is one of the top candidates for the Most Valuable Player award and is currently atop the scoring charts in the NBA with 33.1 points per game. It is anticipated that the addition of Kemba Walker will reduce Luka Doncic’s playing time and contribute to the Mavericks’ overall improvement as a team.
