Who is Cameron Brink and how is she related to Stephen Curry?

Cameron Brink, a great player for Stanford, helped the Cardinal defeat the Arizona Wildcats 54-53 on Sunday, giving the Curry family a big night as the Cardinal won the 2021 NCAA Women’s National Championship. Therefore, Stephen Curry had to give Cameron Brink a shout-out after she assisted in bringing the Bay another league title.

Brink is the daughter of Greg Brink and Michell Bain-Brink, who was Sonya Curry’s roommate and best friend at Virginia Tech. Brink, who has known Warriors star Steph Curry since she was a young child, is Sonya Curry’s goddaughter.

Following their exhilarating victory, Steph FaceTimed Brink, Stanford’s head coach Tara VanDerveer, and the Cardinal. Brink grew up idolising Curry. He is constantly there to provide her suggestions or instructions on how to raise her level of playing.

Cameron Brink and her career

Brink was a key component of the Cardinals’ dominance this season. In the title triumph over Arizona, the 6-foot-4 rookie from Beaverton, Ore., scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds. Brink survived a rookie season unlike any she could have imagined and will be one of the women’s game’s brightest talents in the coming years.

The Cardinal, unquestionably the best team in women’s college basketball, had a crazy season. The COVID-19 outbreak, which occurred a week into the season, led Santa Clara County to restrict contact sports, therefore the Cardinal spent the most of their remarkable title run travelling.

They travelled 100 hotel nights, practised everywhere they could, and arrived at the San Antonio bubble ready to hand VanDerVeer her first title in 29 years. They would pack for weeks at a time.
