Major League Baseball has revealed the game schedule for the 2023 MLB season, which will begin on March 30 with Opening Day. On Opening Day, all 30 clubs are set to participate, marking the first time since 1968 that every team will be playing its first game on the same day. Opening Day is comprised of 15 different games.

Opening Day highlights include the defending World Series champion Houston Astros opening the season at home against the Chicago White Sox, the New York Yankees playing host to the San Francisco Giants, and the Cleveland Indians traveling to play the Seattle Mariners.

Every team will now play 52 divisional games, which is a decrease from the previous total of 76, 46 interleague games, which is an increase from the previous total of 20, and 64 intraleague games. This new schedule will go into effect in 2023. (down from 44).

It is anticipated that several teams, including the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, and Los Angeles Dodgers, will compete for a championship during the 2023 Major League Baseball season.
