Evan Bourne aka, Matt Sydal, started his wrestling career in 2000 in the Gateway Championship Wrestling starting at less than 18 years.
Sydal debuted in independent wrestling in November 2003 in Matt Sedal and won his first championship by defeating J.C Bailey on January 17, 2004.
Sydal also participated in the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) ‘s first pay-per-view event named Victory Road. It was a 20-man X Division Gauntlet for the Gold match.
Sydal signed a developmental contract with WWE and joined the new developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling on March 22, 2008.
Syndal made his main roster debut in the WWE ECW in 2008 with the name “Evan Bourne.” He was teamed with Kofi Kingston, and they defeated Benjamin and Mike Knox.

WWE released Bourne on June 12, 2014. He went on to play on the Ring of Honor and also some other independent circuits. Bourne also made a return to Impact Wrestling.
