Marvel’s Midnight Suns Release Date
New details were revealed about the game in the new trailer unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2022, including first looks at new characters. Marvel’s Midnight Suns, announced in September 2021, lets players take control of a variety of supernatural characters from Marvel Comics, including Captain Marvel, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Blade, and Spider-Man, which was just confirmed now as a character. Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on October 7, 2022.
More Details Revealed at Summer Games Fest
It was first announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live last year after leaked prior to the show. Midnight Suns is a tactical game like XCOM, but with a card battler system comparable to Slay the Spire in its card battler system. There’s no loot box here, thankfully.
The release date of Midnight Suns has been pushed back to the second half of 2022, which publisher Take-Two attributed to the fact that games are becoming more difficult to create as technology advances.
Price of Marvel’s Midnight Suns
There are four different variations of Midnight Suns available for pre-order. The Standard Edition is just the base game, and retails for $59.99, but is only available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You’ll need to get the “Enhanced Edition” for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, which include new console optimizations and five premium cosmetic skins. It’s $69.99 for the Enhanced Edition.
You can get the Digital+ Edition for $79.99 for all platforms, and it comes with 11 premium cosmetics. The Legendary Editions for $99.99 come with 23 cosmetic skins, as well as the Marvel’s Midnight Suns Season Pass. No specific details have yet been revealed about the season pass.
