Predicted 4-2-3-1 Leicester City XI to face Cardiff City in the Premier League

Leicester City were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham at home last weekend but they will be the outright favourites when they face Cardiff City in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Foxes haven’t made the most consistent start to their campaign, winning four and losing five out of their first ten games. Claude Puel’s men sit 12th in the standings and they will be looking to claim three valuable points against Neil Warnock’s men.

The Bluebirds languish in the relegation zone after a poor start to the season and they will have to turn their fortunes around soon enough to avoid the drop.

Team News

Wes Morgan should be available for selection after serving his red card suspension while Daniel Amartey is unlikely to feature on Saturday after suffering a serious ankle injury last weekend.

Demarai Gray and Jamie Vardy did not start the last game but they are likely to feature in the starting eleven this weekend while Matt James is out with a long=term injury.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Claude Puel

Predicted XI

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

The veteran Danish shot-stopper has been in good form this season and it is quite unlikely that Puel will bench him for the weekend game.

Ricardo Pereira (RB)

The Portuguese international has had some nightmarish outings at the back but Puel might have to field him to cover for the loss of Daniel Amartey.

Caglar Soyuncu (CB)

He made his debut in the last game and put in a solid shift at the back. He looked very comfortable with the ball at his feet and Puel should give him another start.

Harry Maguire (CB)

His strength and aerial ability in the heart of the defence is indispensable for the Foxes.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

His stocks have soared high since his international debut and he will be expected to play an important role on Saturday both in terms of defence and attack.

Wilfried Ndidi (CDM)

Scored a goal in the last game and put in a well-composed performance in central midfield.

Vincente Iborra (CDM)

The Spaniard started ahead of Nampalys Mendy in the last game and contributed a lot to the build-up play. Puel should hand him another start.

Rachid Ghezzal (RW)

The Algerian did not have a very telling influence in the last game but he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet for Saturday’s clash.

Demarai Gray (LW)

He came off the bench in the last game and Puel will be hoping that he rediscovers his form following his return from injury.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

He is Leicester’s hitman in the final third. His ability to time his runs to perfection is an invaluable asset to the team.
