Fans are excited for the TV adaptation of the popular game Last of Us on HBO. Here is everything we know about the upcoming TV show.
HBO has officially released the first look for the two main characters in the Last of Us show. The two characters are Joel and Ellie. We can see them wearing their signature outfits from the game. They are both wearing their signature backpack and Ellie is also wearing her pink hoodie which we saw in the first game. They are on an empty grassland and are watching a destroyed aeroplane at a distance.
HBO has released the image on the perfect occasion to sync up with the first outbreak in the Last of Us, September 26. This confirms that the series is under development for a 2022 release date. The image was shared by the cast, writer/ producer and the executive producer of the show.

The series has been written and produced by Craig Mazin. He has previously worked on the HBO show Chernobyl as a writer and producer. Neil Druckmann, the co-president of Naughty Dog will serve as the co-writer and executive producer for the show. He is the co-director and writer of the first Last of Us game. The show will have 10 episodes in the first season. The original composer of the soundtrack for the game, Gustavo Santaolalla is returning to compose for the show. They have brought the Russian director Kantemir Balagov to direct the pilot episode.
