Lance Stephenson is an NBA veteran and picked some big names for his Ultimate NBA starting five

The NBA has seen several superstars come and go over the years. The league has seen the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson wow crowds in previous years.

The current crop of stars are also on the path to greatness with Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and LeBron James being some that are set for the NBA Hall of Fame.

Picking an Ultimate NBA starting give is difficult given the plethora of talent but an NBA veteran gave it a shot.

and brought up some big names for his team.

The first name in his team was Oscar Robertson who made his name at the Cincinnati Royals and the Milwaukee Bucks:

“One of my favorite players. Triple-double king. I went to Cincinnati because of him. He was a leader on the floor. Anybody that plays with the team and is very unselfish with the ball, I love guys like that.”

Stephenson also had an LA Lakers pairing as part of his team. Magic didn’t make the list but Kobe Bryant did, alongside Shaquille O’Neal. Stephenson also added Jordan into the list, and explained why but no reason needs to be given while adding MJ:

“Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Those two dogs on your team, I feel like that team is going to be unstoppable. They’ve got that same dog in them, a lot of people have that, that mentality to do whatever it takes to win.

“Shaquille O’Neal, super unstoppable. I feel like nobody in the NBA could stop Shaq.”

The final name on the list was Tim Duncan, a legend in San Antonio:

“And Tim Duncan. I feel like he was the best power forward ever to play the game.”

Lance Stephenson still keen on getting that NBA ring

The 31-year-old is a bit of a journey man having played in China before joining the Grand Rapids Gold in the NBA G League draft for this campaign.

Stephenson tried out for 10 different NBA teams in hopes of signing a contract, but ended up going to the G League.

That hasn’t dampened his mood as he still aims to get that elusive NBA ring:

“My motivation is to be the best player I can possibly be. Be in the best shape, be one of the leaders on the team. Definitely helping the younger guys, having fun out there winning games and getting a ring. Man, before I retire I want an NBA ring.”

Stephens has played for the Indiana Pacers, the LA Clippers and the Lakers to name a few of the NBA teams.

While Stephenson hasn’t come close to winning the NBA title, a quality season with the Grand Rapids could lead to something special for the 31-year-old.
