Kristaps Porzingis Career

Kristaps Porziņģis was the 2015, Round 1, 4th overall draft pick by the New York Knicks. Porzingis plays in the position of Power forward / Center and he is also the 2018 NBA All-Star.

Before playing in the NBA, Porzingis played in Europe for the Spanish club, Sevilla. He played for Sevilla from 2012 to 2015. While playing in Europe, Porzingis quickly grabbed eyeballs with his powerful gameplay and basketball skills.

Following his stint in Europe, on 25 June 2015, Porziņģis was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. Then, on 30 July 2015, Porziņģis signed his rookie-scale contract with the Knicks.

In his 2015-16 NBA rookie season, Porziņģis averaged 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.9 blocks per game. Subsequently, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Then, during the 2017 All-Star Weekend, Porziņģis played for Team World in the Rising Stars Challenge and won the Skills Challenge. Further, on 23 January 2018, Porziņģis was named as an Eastern Conference All-Star reserve.

However, in October 2018, the Knicks decided against signing Porziņģis to a rookie extension contract. Subsequently, in 2019, Porziņģis was traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

Porziņģis debuted for the Mavericks on 23 October 2019, posting 23 points and 4 rebounds in a 108–100 win over the Washington Wizards.
