Russian star Khabib Nurmagomedov has been on an incredible rise and has amassed a huge net worth thanks to his days in the UFC.
Nurmagomedov made the news when he beat Conor McGregor at UFC 229 which also drew 2.4million pay-per-view purchases, the largest in the history of the promotion.
The 31-year-old hails from the Dagestan region in Russia and also holds the longest undefeated streak in MMA.
Nurmagomedov has won all 28 of his fights in MMA with his last triumph coming in UFC 254 against Justin Gaethje.

The Russian made it big after the win against McGregor and Forbes (h/t Mirror) claims that Nurmagomedov’s net worth is around $11.5million.
That amount rose exponentially after the fight against the Irishman. Nurmagomedov’s net worth was just $1m before the fight but he got several bonuses after the win.
Khabib has also signed up several endorsement deals since the win with the likes of Gorilla Energy Drink and Toyota.
That has also increased his net worth and it will only grow further if he keeps picking up the wins.

There aren’t many pictures of Nurmagomedov’s wife on social media as the fighter tries to keep a low profile regarding his family.
The 31-year-old Lightweight champion has two children, a daughter and a son, and is expecting a third child with his wife.
Nurmagomedov was married in June 2013 and named his son after his great-grandfather Magomed Nurmagomedov.
Khabib is also capable of speaking several languages and always wears a papakha hat after his fights, as a tribute to his Dagestani roots.
The champion also has a habit of swapping shirts after matches and selling them to raise funds for charity.

Khabib defeated Gaethje at UFC 254 but right after the fight, he became emotional and decided to retire from MMA.
This was a promise he made to his mother claiming this would be his final fight. Khabib didn’t want to continue fighting after his father passed away but went ahead with this clash.
The Russian finishes his MMA career with an unblemished record of 29 wins and no losses.

Nurmagomedov’s next fight was to take place on 18 April 2020 against Tony Ferguson at UFC 249.
However, that was cancelled due to the coronavirus with Justin Gaethje winning the interim title against Ferguson at UFC 249.
