During warmups for his highly anticipated home debut against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin, a 13-time All-Star, suffered an ankle injury after slipping on the court. As a result, he was forced to miss the next ten games, with the Suns initially setting his timeline for return at a minimum of three weeks.

A viral video showed Kevin Durant driving towards the rim during warmups as the Suns prepared to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Unfortunately, as he jumped, he ended up rolling his left ankle. Durant attempted to carry on with his pregame preparation despite the incident, but the Suns soon confirmed that he would not be playing. Both Durant and the Suns, who were eagerly awaiting his home debut, experienced a heartbreaking setback.

Durant’s tenure with the Suns has been shockingly limited to just three games since he was acquired in a shocking trade that involved four first-round picks from the Brooklyn Nets, as well as Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and additional draft compensation.

In the three games Kevin Durant has played for the Phoenix Suns since being traded from the Brooklyn Nets, he has been an exceptional player for the team. He currently holds an impressive stat line with an average of 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

Durant has also been incredibly efficient, shooting 69.0% from the field, 53.8% from beyond the arc, and 88.2% from the free throw line. His addition to the Suns’ roster has undoubtedly been a boost for the team.

During Durant’s absence, the Suns’ performance suffered slightly, as they won just four out of the ten games. However, they’re still in a comfortable position in the Western Conference, sitting at the fourth spot with a record of 40-35. The Sacramento Kings are currently ahead of them by five games, while the Dallas Mavericks trail them by just 3.5 games.

Despite the challenges, the Suns remain hopeful and are counting on Durant’s return to provide a much-needed boost to their playoff aspirations.
