Leeds United Prediction: Probable XI to face Bristol City

Leeds United welcome Bristol City at Elland Road on Saturday hoping to bounce back to winning ways in the Championship.

The Whites ended their two-game losing run by drawing 1-1 with Brentford at Griffin Park on Tuesday. They are in a rut at the moment and are three points off league leaders West Brom, who are in action against Reading on Wednesday.

Bristol City, meanwhile, are seventh in the table and pushing hard to qualify for the playoffs.

Team News

Tyler Roberts missed the trip to Brentford due to a strong kick on his calf but could return against Bristol City at the weekend.

Leeds United Prediction: Probable XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Kiko Casilla (GK)

Casilla made a terrible mistake at Griffin Park that allowed Brentford’s Said Benrahma to score. The goalkeeper is shorn of confidence, yet Bielsa is expected to keep his faith in the Spaniard.

Luke Ayling (RB)

Ayling has nailed down his position at right-back and should retain his place in the team on Saturday.

Ben White (CB)

Leeds’ defensive lynchpin, White has been a consistent performer throughout the season and is a certainty to start against Bristol City.

Liam Cooper (CB)

Cooper scored the equalising goal against Brentford—his first goal of the season. Along with White, the Scotsman will aim to keep a clean sheet at Elland Road.

Stuart Dallas (LB)

Dallas’ return to defence on Tuesday made the Whites a more secured unit at the back against Brentford. He’s a certainty to retain his spot in Bielsa’s starting XI at the weekend.

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

After serving a three-game ban, Phillips walked back straight into Bielsa’s side and did well against Brentford. He brings calmness and balance to his Leeds side, making him an indispensable figure for Bielsa.

Helder Costa (RW)

Costa did create some problems to the Brentford defenders but failed to score. However, he’ll be raring to build on the performance.

Pablo Hernandez (RCM)

Hernandez is a creative player who can split open defences with his vision and movement. He is a certainty to start on Saturday.

Mateusz Klich (LCM)

Klich looks dangerous in an advanced role in midfield. His energy and ability to time his runs in the box to score goals will make him a threat for Bristol.

Jack Harrison (LW)

Harrison is a real threat when running at defenders with pace. The Englishman is likely to start in his usual role on the left flank against Bristol.

Despite being Leeds United’s top goalscorer, Bamford has recently struggled in front of goal. Yet, he’ll resume the duties of leading the attack.
