Juwan Howard has an estimated net worth of $80 million. He was the first NBA player to sign a $100 million contract. His first contract was with the Washington Bullets, a $25 million deal.
The Miami Heat had offered him a seven-year deal worth $98 million in the 1996 offseason but the NBA voided the contract. Instead, the Bullets signed him to a $105 million contract, keeping him for until 2002. His move to Orlando saw him bag a $28 million deal. After playing in the NBA for 19 seasons, Howard bagged $150 million in earnings from his annual salary.

He formed the Fab Five group in Michigan, leading the Wolves to the NCAA tournament finals twice. His other teammates were Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Jimmy King and Ray Jackson. While his Michigan career is recognized as one of the best, the NCAA penalised the institution’s basketball achievement in the 1990s due to violation of rules by four other members.
Howard never faced any charges and continues to be hailed for his performances in the 1993-94 All-American season. He declared for the NBA draft right after and was picked fifth overall in the first round by the Washington Bullets. Howard was a powerful athlete towering over most playing power forward. He averaged 17 points and 8.4 rebounds in his rookie season to be named into the All-Rookie second team. He also finished his academic career, earning a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan.
Howard quickly made the NBA All-Star team the year after but his career did not rise after that. He averaged a career-high of 22.5 points that season and was picked in the All-NBA Third Team. The Chicago-native played in Washington until 2001 before he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks where he became a key member of the side.
